Your Dremel Tool
The Dremel tool, and other rotary tools, makes a good power drill for first time users.
Dremel tools and other similar rotary type tools are often looked at as simply crafters or hobby tools. Yet, with the wide variety of drill bits available for the wonderful rotary tools, a Dremel can be used to drill holes into almost any surface, including metal.
Drill bits for a rotary tool can be purchased at any hardware store or home center. Look for bits labeled 1/8” or ¼” shaft as these will fit into the collets that come with the rotary tool. As with all drill bits, make sure you purchase a wide variety of bits for working with different materials. For instance, you would not want to use a bit designed for wood to drill through a metal surface.
